You make a compelling case... but unfortunately many others have too. Why have none of the online tip jars taken off? Do you think it's need to be baked into the distribution medium like Substack or TikTok or OnlyFans?
I thought about that (although it didn’t make it into the article). It has to be so easy that I don’t even think about it. Amazon’s buy it now strategy is the best thing ever… 1-click. It seems to me that if Substack let readers maintain a balance and tip with a single click, it would be 100x more effective than sending the reader to another page to tip. It’s a hypothesis, Substack will need to test :)
